On the balmy evening of September 12th, the Bailliage celebrated the ending of its 50th anniversary summer at the award-winning Pamplemousse Grille in Solana Beach.

Bailli Marie Addario welcomed members and guests to the reception which included the famous Pamplemousse Martini as well as Champagne to accompany an assortment of very special hors d'oeuvres prepared by owner Jeffrey Strauss.

Strauss has delighted the palates of the world’s most powerful business brokers, socialites, US presidents, and scores of American and foreign dignitaries.

Among those members attending, we were delighted to welcome Chancelier Honoraire Ira Falk, who is a Member of the International Conseil d’Administration, together with his wife, Grand Officer Melissa Falk.

Bailli Honoraire Dominick Addario chose two white wines to accompany the amazing roasted lobster vol au vent - Domaine Pierre Matrot White Burgundy Chardonnay 2014 and Traminer Aromatica Annuito 2017.

For the main course of venison chop and grilled West Texas quail, Dominick chose Château Gruaud Larose St. Julien, Bordeaux 2003 from his cellar which paired with perfection.

The cheeses included St Angel, Ubriaco, and St Agur with figs, dried fruit, candied pecans and walnut bread.

For this memorable celebration, Bailli Marie Addario presented Jeffrey Strauss and his staff with a framed Chaîne certificate.
