Due to COVID-19 restrictions in Hong Kong, World Chaîne Day (WCD) could not be celebrated in unison with Bailliages worldwide. With our strong spirit, it was commemorated as “World Chaîne Day - Delayed” on Friday, May 27th at The Grand Hyatt Hotel’s Pool House.

The room was filled with 64 members and guests revelling in the joys and camaraderie of Chaîne once again. The Pool House is a unique glass enclosed venue facing the hotel’s pool and gardens. Guests enjoy indoor comfort with an outdoor atmosphere featuring Hong Kong views.

Combined with this backdrop, the extraordinarily talented culinary team created an exceptional exclusive menu to delight the senses.

The menu completely fails to capture the drama added to the evening as chefs and kitchen staff paraded in carrying a 20-foot-long board which contained the cheese course. Nor that dessert was declared a mouth-watering finale!

After dinner, guests relaxed pool side indulging in cigars complemented with Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey 2013, Sauternes Premier Grand Cru Classé.
