World Chaîne Day

April 24, 2021

The day in review by Managing Editor Marie Jones
Much celebrating despite the pandemic

As already mentioned in the “first thoughts” article by my International Board colleague, Ari-Pekka Parviainen who is Chair of the World Chaîne Day (WCD) organising committee, the 2021 edition of World Chaîne Day was celebrated around the world with as much enthusiasm as ever.

In fact, from the postings on social media, despite the problem experienced on the day with the Social Media Wall through a Facebook/Instagram outage, one could readily conclude that the day was celebrated more enthusiastically than ever.

Despite the still evident pandemic restrictions in many countries, the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs gathered in celebration of the “art of the table”.

Members met offline and online around the world and through their media postings or formal Bailliage reports are offering us all a virtual place at their table.

Some events are being covered by separate articles on the international Chaîne News On-line website. This article is therefore intended to give a flavour of the other WCD activities, both large and small, organised by Bailliages from national to local level as well as by members themselves be it individually or in small groups.

Take a look for yourself. Saturday, April 24th was all about the Chaîne, and what a wonderful day it was. Enjoy the memories!
