Dear Chaîne members and friends around the world

I am delighted to inform you that the 69th Grand Chapitre of the Bailliage of Spain will be held in Seville from Thursday, March 2 to Saturday, March 4 inclusive.

Seville is the beautiful, luminous and charming capital of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, the city with centuries of history behind it and the one with special colour.

Of special note in Seville are the Cathedral, the Giralda, the Alcázar and the Archivo de Indias - all declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.

Seville is considered the cradle and capital of flamenco, which has been declared an Intangible Heritage of Humanity. Seville is also the city that has inspired the most operas over the centuries, some of them as universal as Carmen, Don Giovanni and of course The Barber of Seville.

Bailli of Andalusia David de Castro and his team have prepared a wonderful programme of events with so much affection which naturally we hope will be to the liking of all of you.
