Congratulations to Bertrand de Boutray on his re-election to a second term as Bailli Délégué of USA, the largest National Bailliage in the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.

The election result for the three-year term beginning July 1, 2023 was certified and sent to members of the National Council who voted in this election.

Bertrand won the election by a large majority. This second term will allow him to continue his vision for the Chaîne in the USA that he set out. “Continuity is stability, and my vision of harmony, respect and fraternity will never be altered”, Bertrand said.

Bertrand was born and raised in Paris. He has been a Chaîne member for 26 years and rose in the ranks to also become a Member of the Conseil d’Administration, the International Board of Directors of the Chaîne.

Bertrand was professionally trained at Le Cordon Bleu Paris. He joined the Bailliage of Seattle in 1997 as a Chef Rôtisseur. Within four years he was elevated to be Vice-Conseiller Culinaire. Then he was nominated as the Bailli of Seattle and subsequently became the Bailli Provincial of Pacific Northwest and a member of the Board of Directors of Chaîne US. In 2020 Bertrand became Bailli Délégué of USA.

During these last three years of Bertrand’s leadership, he safely navigated the Chaîne US into a positive territory out of an unprecedented social disruption due to the pandemic lockdown that had never been experienced in modern history.

While the world of hospitality services suffered, the Chaîne was able to maintain and gain on its membership level. Bertrand attributes the success to the Baillis’ resilience and loyalty to the Chaîne. “I am looking forward to take the Chaîne to new heights, because together we can do it”, he said.
