In 1951, the hotel became the property of the Bläuel family and quickly became a popular meeting place for artists, actors and politicians. The family has been the owner and host for more than 70 years. Today, the 3rd and 4th generations are running the family business headed by Officer Maître Restaurateur Frank Bläuel who joined the Chaîne in 1988.
