Mounir is regularly a member of technical and tasting juries in France, the country that has registered its gastronomy on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list.

In 2018 Mounir founded the first National Cooking and Pastry Trophy organized by the Tunisian Training Agency (Ministry of Employment). Prior to that, in 2016, he co-founded “La Fourchette d’Or”, a competition organized by the Maghrebian Institute of Management and Tourism.

Mounir welcomes several apprentices at his establishment. For instance, since 2008, he has been mentoring the Bilel Ouechtati, who is now Head Chef at le Baroque.

Additionally, Mounir is very active in promoting “Les Produits du Terroir” and is a lead in the registration of couscous and harissa on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list.

From New Delhi, via Lyon, Casablanca, Algiers, Toulouse, New York, Washington, Pescara, Lille, Nice, Marseille, Antalya, San Vito Lo Capo, Prague, Bern, Paris, Monaco, Barcelona, Kuwait, Amman, Yaoundé, Taranto, and Treviso, Mounir El Arem positions himself as an ambassador of Tunisia in the culinary arts.
