Concurrent with a Grand Chapitre of the Bailliage of Switzerland
" I wish all the competitors the best of luck in their quest to become the Chaîne's Best Young Sommelier for 2025 "
It is with great pleasure that the Committee of the International Jeunes Sommeliers Competition can announce that the 2025 International Final will take place in Geneva, Switzerland.
Bailli Délégué Thomas Kuhn and his team are proposing a comprehensive programme from Wednesday, September 10th - Sunday, September 14th concurrent with a Grand Chapitre of the National Bailliage.
Sometimes referred to as the “Peace Capital”, Geneva is a global city, a financial centre and a worldwide centre for diplomacy due to the presence of numerous international organizations, including the headquarters of many agencies of the United Nations, as well as the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
The principal host hotel will be the Métropole, a legendary establishment since first opening in 1854. Ideally located on the left bank, facing the lake and the English Garden, it is a few minutes’ walk from the old town and the famous Rue du Rhône - nationally known as the essential address for shopping.
Following on from the highly successful 2024 International Final held in Lisbon, Portugal, we are very much looking forward to building on this success in Geneva where the emphasis of the Competition will continue to be the motivation of up-and-coming young Sommeliers and providing the opportunity for them to compete in a high-level international competition.
I wish all the competitors the best of luck in their quest to become the Chaîne’s Best Young Sommelier for 2025.
