Celebrating the achievements of women
" the Chaîne celebrates its women members across the world "
Marked annually on March 8th International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.
IWD has occurred for well over a century. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere and all IWD activity is valid. That’s what makes IWD so inclusive.
The IWD 2025 campaign theme is ‘Accelerate Action' for gender equality. ‘Accelerate Action’ calls for increased momentum and urgency in addressing the systemic barriers and biases that women face, both in personal and professional spheres.
