The 6th Annual International Grand Chapitre of the Ordre Mondial des Gourmets Dégustateurs (OMGD) will take place on September 3-7, 2025, in and around the astounding, beautiful city of Brussels in Belgium.

Belgium is a western European country known for its medieval towns, renaissance architecture and as the home of the European Union and the NATO headquarters. It has distinctive regions including Dutch-speaking Flanders to the north, French-speaking Wallonia to the south and a German-speaking community to the east. Brussels, the country’s bilingual capital city, is the capital of Europe and also the most cosmopolitan.

The Bailliage of Belgium, led by Bailli Délégué Ilse Duponcheel who is a Member of the Conseil Magistral, has curated at very short notice an exceptional event that offers an exclusive stay in carefully selected hotels, immersive visits to vineyards and tastings of wines and other beverages that are emblematic of Belgium’s rich heritage.

During the eventful four-day programme, we will be introduced to the history and production of Belgian wines and crafted beverages, including the very famous Belgian beers, aperitifs and digestives. We will be visiting a selected number of vineyards, breweries and distilleries, sampling the best and most intriguing of what Belgium has to offer the knowledgeable connoisseurs.

We will also have an introduction to the cheese and chocolate delicacies for which Belgium is highly regarded. These will be accompanied by an array of exquisite culinary eats at famous dining venues including Michelin Star restaurants. All equally partnered with the experience of Belgian hospitality.
