The 20th Anniversary of the Bailliage of Macau’s Grand Chapitre concluded in spectacular fashion, weaving together four days of gourmet indulgence, cultural immersion, and heartfelt camaraderie that will linger in the memories of all who attended. This milestone celebration, aligned with Macau’s legacy as a UNESCO City of Gastronomy, brought together global culinary connoisseurs, distinguished guests, and passionate members to honour two decades of culinary passion and community spirit.

The highlight of the anniversary celebrations was the Grand Chapitre Gala Dinner, a resplendent affair that united over 190 distinguished guests, including 86 overseas delegates from Denmark, France, Hong Kong, Mainland China, Malaysia, Portugal, Switzerland and Thailand. This unforgettable evening was made possible by the unwavering support of the Macau Government Tourism Office, and our esteemed partners Le Club des Chefs des Chefs (CCC) and Mandarin Oriental, Macau, whose collaboration laid the foundation for a truly exceptional occasion.

A world-class culinary showcase by five Royal Chefs hailing from America, Denmark, France, Italy and Luxembourg who brought their unparalleled expertise to craft a feast for a noble cause: supporting Chaîne’s cherished charity, ACCR (Association Caritative de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs). Adding a youthful spark, talented chefs from the recent Jeunes Chef Competition also graced the event, blending experience with innovation to make every moment meaningful. The Gala was more than a dinner, it was a global tribute to culinary excellence, philanthropy, and the bonds that unite Chaîne members worldwide.

The celebrations kicked off on November 14th at Grand Lisboa Palace, where over 45 Macau and overseas members gathered for the Grand Chapitre Opening Dinner. The evening began with an exclusive master class by Christelle Chene from Xige Estate, offering rare insights into the art of fine wine craftsmanship. Guests then indulged in a bespoke culinary journey at Palace Garden, where Chef Ken and his team curated a sensational menu perfectly paired with Xige Estate’s exquisite Jade Dove series. Rave reviews poured in for the exceptional cuisine, impeccable service, and warm camaraderie. Many members returning to the restaurant before their departure from Macau, a testament to the evening’s lasting impression.

Day Two of the anniversary celebrations blended adrenaline and elegance, starting with an exclusive lunch at Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau’s Friendship Terrace. A beloved spot among Chaîne members for its home-like camaraderie and panoramic views. Perched atop the hotel, guests savoured hearty grilled specialties paired with premium wines and beers, while soaking in the thrill of the 72nd Macau Grand Prix. From noon until the track closed, the terrace buzzed with laughter and the roar of race cars, as old friends reconnected and new bonds formed. All against the backdrop of Macau’s iconic skyline.

As the sun set over Cotai, members ascended to City of Dreams, Macao’s 50m suspended deck for a twilight soiree. Sipping champagne and savouring caviar and artisanal cheese, guests toasted to 20 years of Chaîne magic, with the glittering skyline providing a breathtaking backdrop to the evening’s exclusivity and joy.

The day’s celebrations reached a cultural crescendo with an authentic traditional Macanese dinner at Casa Maquista, a hidden gem situated within the historic Taipa House Museum in Old Taipa Village. Renowned as a member favourite, Casa Maquista offers a rare taste of genuine Macanese cuisine. A delicious fusion of Portuguese, Chinese, and Southeast Asian influences that reflects Macau’s unique cultural tapestry.

The curated menu featured shareable classic dishes, each crafted to highlight the rich, layered flavours that define Macau’s culinary identity. These heritage recipes were perfectly complemented by Esporão Portugal’s renowned wines, whose distinct character and balanced profiles elevated every bite, honouring both Macanese tradition and Portuguese winemaking excellence.

Guests were invited to arrive early to explore the tranquil Taipa House Museum premises by strolling through charming gardens and historic architecture before unwinding with a glass of Esporão wine. The serene setting, paired with the evening’s laid-back elegance, provided a peaceful contrast to the day’s high-octane race excitement, allowing members to savour every sip, every bite, and every moment of connection.
