For Chef Rôtisseur Chantel Loteryman van Staden, food has always been about more than creating a meal. It is about bringing people together, preserving traditions, and creating memorable experiences around the table.

Her culinary journey began more than 20 years ago in Namibia’s hospitality industry, where she developed a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship, discipline, and camaraderie that defines the culinary profession. From her early years in professional kitchens to leading teams as Head Chef and training hospitality staff, Chantel has dedicated her career to the pursuit of excellence in gastronomy and service.

Throughout the years, she has built an impressive and diverse career encompassing hospitality management, culinary training, event catering, publishing, and food writing. As a freelance chef and culinary consultant, Chantel has worked with lodges, guesthouses, wedding celebrations, hunting farms, and private events across Namibia, sharing her passion for quality food and warm hospitality wherever she goes.

Beyond the kitchen, Chantel is the founder and publisher of Fleurish Magazine Namibia, a publication dedicated to celebrating food, hospitality, lifestyle, and the talented individuals who enrich Namibia’s culinary landscape. Through her writing and editorial work, Chantel continues to inspire readers with stories, recipes, and features that showcase the beauty of sharing food and fellowship.

Her commitment to the culinary profession is reflected in her numerous qualifications and achievements, including professional culinary training, hospitality education, judging certifications, and contributions to culinary publications. As a judge and advocate for culinary excellence, Chantel remains passionate about supporting the next generation of chefs and hospitality professionals.

As a member of the Chaine des Rôtisseurs in the Bailliage of Namibia, Chantel embraces the association’s values of friendship, tradition, excellence, and the enjoyment of fine cuisine.
