After the aperitif, more than 100 participants took their seats under the impressive historic vaulted roof of the Brauereigasthof Kuchlbauer (English: Kuchlbauer Brewery Inn) situated on Abensberg’s town square.

To the sounds of the Bavarian parade march performed by the brass band “Die Höllentaler”, the local Bailliage officers and the National Bailliage delegation led by Bailli Délégué Klaus Tritschler entered the banqueting hall.

Due to the pandemic, over the past two years a veritable induction backlog had built up in the Bailliage. Thus there were an impressive 45 inductees for first-time induction or promotion. All these members were duly promoted or newly accepted into our Confrérie in a solemn ceremony presided over by Bailli Délégué Klaus Tritschler who is a Member of the Conseil d’Administration - the International Board.

The celebratory dinner included reference to the host establishment through the theme of “Asparagus meets hops”. The menu started with asparagus variations and at the end came a sparkling hop ice cream. All courses were perfectly prepared by the kitchen team and served quickly and discretely by the competent and friendly service brigade.

No wonder there was long, deep-felt applause as staff members in the two brigades filed in for the traditional line-up! Vice-Chancelier Toni Röhrl honoured the overall performance of the Kuchlbauer team whilst Bailli Karl-Günther Wilfurth honoured each individual employee and the host couple with a personal certificate. Completing the round of plaudits, Bailli Délégué Klaus Tritschler expressed his delight with the gastronomic performance that made for a successful Gala Dinner.
