Superb shellfish at O Paulo
" The amazing shellfish selection was a feast of oysters, mussels, clams, razorfish, shrimps and crab "

Bailliage members and their guests met at a restaurant next to the old fortress of Arrifana near Aljezur. “O Paulo” is well known to the locals for its superb shellfish and amazing views over the cliffs.

After starters of octopus salad, crab toast and hot goat’s cheese in pastry with pine nuts and honey, the “mariscada” (plateau de fruits de mer) was presented and did not deceive!

The amazing shellfish selection was a feast of oysters, mussels, clams, razorfish, shrimps and crab served with the traditional toasted, buttered bread. It was absolutely enjoyed by all, helped by the white house wine from Borba.

Local pastries and strawberries rounded off an excellent and leisurely meal.

At the end of service a special thank you went to the smiling, efficient staff!
