Executive Chef Mesut Albayrak created a special menu
" the restaurant was decorated with many characteristic antique items including old record players "
For our first event of the year Mustafa and Kamile Demirok heartily welcomed us at their Ship Inn Marina Restaurant located in Antalya’s marina.
The evening began with cocktails and appetizers as we enjoyed the sunset with views of the beautiful luxury yachts.
Many years ago, Mustafa started working as a ‘komi’ at this venue. A komi is a kind of commis-waiter, an all-rounder who one day will be promoted to be a waiter. Although starting as a komi, many years later Mustafa now owns this beautiful spot.
Together with his wife Kamile, the restaurant was decorated with many characteristic antique items including old record players (Mustafa’s biggest hobby), which are in frequent use.
At the beginning of our dinner, we listened to a beautiful lament song about the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. In complete silence, we enjoyed the crackling sounds of the original record.
