Again, we had excellent coverage around the world which started with Australia and ended this year on the west coast of the USA. A veritable virtual chain linking Bailliages and members from East to West. The notion of following the sun has once again come true for World Chaîne Day!

The Social Media Wall hashtags collected hashtagged material from more than 25 countries. Furthermore, there are lots of pictures on individual Facebook and Instagram postings outside of the official Social Media Wall.

This year our idea was not to promote World Chaîne Day in any special way. I had the feeling that it is already strong enough to carry on by itself. It certainly did so! This makes me happy as now I know World Chaîne Day is here to stay and will go from strength to strength well into the future.

It is always refreshing and inspiring to see what different events and ideas our members have around the world. 2026 was no exception. This is also one of the basic ideas with World Chaîne Day: togetherness through social media.

Last but not least, it was a delight to see two important anniversaries being celebrated on April 25th. In Switzerland the local Bailliage of Pays de Vaud honoured its 75th year of existence. At the other end of the timescale the National Bailliage of Brazil held a Chapitre to formally inaugurate the presence of the Chaîne in South America’s largest country - by a significant margin.
