We had a wonderful final Gala Dinner before the summer holidays at the residence of His Excellency the Ambassador for Italy, Chevalier d’Honneur Carlo Baldocci and his wife Christiana.

To present “The essence of Italy” Michelin 2-star Chef Claudio Sadler came from Milan. Chef Claudio is a very active chef who teaches as well. He is highly acclaimed having won the Ambrogino d’Oro Award. The famous Sicilian soul singer Alessandra Salerno and her trio also came especially to Kuwait for our Gala Dinner.

Maître Hôtelier Kemal Sirtikirmizi and his team from the Waldorf Astoria Hotel catered for the event. In joint efforts with Chef Claudio they created a sophisticated yet classical Italian menu. A brilliant balance of creativity and simplicity, emphasizing the flavours of each culinary element was achieved. At the same time setting innovative standards for traditional Italian cuisine, celebrating the past and looking into the future.

We were living fully the essence of Italy with all our senses engaged. We listened to songs of timeless Italian masterpieces. We experienced an all embracing and very exceptional Italian Gala Dinner.
