Conseiller Gastronomique Danny Mora reported on a French evening held at Península on January 20th. After a succession of classic dishes, superbly prepared and presented, he wrote, ‘thus ended an evening which lasted more than three hours at the Península, a place where the decor invites you to enjoy the food, the service that allows you to relax to enjoy an entertaining dinner with friends or a unique moment with someone special.’

Can Somyurek, Échanson Provincial Honoraire, is very creative and very prolific, with half a dozen restaurants in his personal collection as owner, and of note: a special project he created when he was at the Four Seasons, Taste the Stars, in collaboration with Costa Rica's own astronaut, Franklin Chang Diaz. This project has been going strong now for over 10 years.

Can was born in Türkiye and has double diplomas in hospitality from the Eastern Mediterranean University in Northern Cyprus and the University of Houston, Texas, USA. From there he made his way to Guanacaste where he has been a valued member of the Chaîne in Costa Rica.
