Here Executive Chef Jürgen Lengauer and his brigade pay homage to traditional Viennese cuisine coupled with a range of exciting international influences.
Also on the 7th floor is a leading Japanese restaurant in Austria. ‘UNKAI’ can be translated as “sea of clouds”, and truly no other name would better describe the restaurant serving its heavenly cuisine.
On the ground floor, at the ‘UNKAI Bar & Sushi’ excellent sushi creations await the guest in an easy, relaxed atmosphere, and in summer with its own terrace. The lobby bar “Rosengarten” with its outdoor terrace “Schanigarten” offers great Viennese and international dishes. Furthermore, the hotel’s ‘Grand Brasserie’ is open daily. Links with the Chaîne
Since 2021 Maître Hôtelier Oliver Geyer has been the General Manager. For 10 years prior to this appointment, he was in senior hotel management with InterContinental Hotels at hotels in Prague, Muscat and Nairobi. The latter posting being when he joined the Chaîne.
The 2nd International Final of the Jeunes Sommeliers Competition was held at the Grand Hotel Wien in 2008 concurrent with the celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the National Bailliage.
