At the latest Master Sommelier Diploma examination held at the Grand Hotel Wien in Vienna, Austria) on June 22, 2025, the Court of Master Sommeliers (Europe) was delighted to announce that nine candidates had passed thus earning them the acclaimed Master Sommelier accreditation with the Court.

One of the nine is Fabien Mene, a Maître Sommelier in the Chaîne, who is to be one of the judges at the 2025 International Final of the Jeunes Sommeliers Competition being held in Geneva from September 10-13.

The Master Sommelier badge indicates that the wearer has reached the highest level of proficiency and knowledge in their profession.

Fabien enthused that achieving the coveted MS accreditation was one of the greatest personal and professional achievements in his life. He acknowledged all those who had been helping with his training. He observed, “I have to say the last 10 months trying to reach the ultimate goal were exhausting.”
