In the middle of the city centre between the Rhine and Kö is the Grande Étoile. It is a Chaîne member establishment through its General Manager, Manfred Birkenfeld, who is a recently joined Maître Restaurateur in the local Bailliage of Nordrhein.

Fine European cuisine is served. The furnishings are in the style of the golden 1920s. Gold, velvet and soft music make the Grande as elegant as it is comfortable. The private rooms with their chic salon atmosphere are the perfect ambience for a lunch break or a stylish evening.

The unique private dining area “Blue Salon” is also the ideal location for meetings and other business and private events for up to 12 people. The salon is equipped with presentation screen and technology.

Guests can expect a balanced menu with modern interpretations of European classics. For example, choice cuts with a selection of side dishes, sea bass with saffron risotto, scallops and oysters, but also pasta are served. Meat and fish dishes mix with European classics and sophisticated desserts.

The wine list is just as European as the cuisine: Rheinpfalz (Germany) and Burgenland (Austria) are represented, as are Burgundy, Sicily and Navara from France, Italy and Spain respectively.
