Since joining the Chaîne in 2016, Pilar Roth has demonstrated an exceptional dedication to promoting gastronomy and developing young talents in Mexico. Her career to date is a testament to her passion, leadership and commitment to excellence.

Journey beginnings and mentors who inspired
Communications was the area in which Pilar began her contribution to the Chaîne. In 2016 she joined as a Dame de la Chaîne and was promoted to Chargée de Missions in 2017. Along the way, Pilar has been supported by key members who have driven her growth and vision within the organization.

Her mentors, Thierry Blouet, the current Baillí Delegué in Mexico, and Jorge Careaga, have been key figures in the development. Pilar’s activities as a Chaîne official started when Salvador de Aguinaga, the then Vice-Chargé de Missions of Puerto Vallarta, asked for her support while he was temporarily transferred to another country.

Likewise, Pilar has great admiration for International Vice-President Marie Jones encouraging change and greater participation of women in this prestigious association. Pilar’s friendship with Rosa Román, Bailli Délégué of Spain, with whom she has shared culinary and cultural experiences, has enriched her gastronomic perspective.

Passion for young talent and female participation
A key pillar of Pilar’s work in the Chaîne is her commitment to boosting young talent. Through her participation in the Jeunes Chefs Rôtisseurs and Jeunes Sommeliers Competitions both in Mexico and internationally she has given promising Mexican young professionals the opportunity to highlight and develop their skills.

Pilar is a fervent advocate for female participation in the hospitality industry and actively works to foster their inclusion and leadership. The result? Positive developments have been witnessed by the presence of women in Chaîne events in Mexico

Camaraderie and international spirit
The Chaîne is much more than a gastronomic association, it is a global community united by a passion for good cuisine and comradeship. Pilar highlights the importance of this international spirit, which allows members of different cultures and backgrounds to share knowledge and culinary experiences.
