Celebrating Bastille Day at Le Cellier
" Dessert was a 'surprise event' whereby the kitchen brigade arranged a wide variety of cakes, ice cream and other delicacies "
The Bailliage celebrated the 230th anniversary of Bastille Day with an extraordinary luncheon in Novotel Hotel’s Le Cellier Restaurant.
Nestled on the 14th floor and overlooking the landmarks of Yangon this restaurant and its talented Chef Htun Htun were a natural choice for the event.
The guest of honour for this auspicious event was His Excellency Jaroslav Dolececk, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Federal Republic of Myanmar.

Dessert was a ‘surprise event’ whereby the kitchen brigade arranged a wide variety of cakes, ice cream and other delicacies for members and their guests. Our guest of honour, His Excellency Jaroslav Dolececk honoured us in opening the buffet by breaking a golden chocolate orb. Coffee, tea and digestifs were served.
Chancelier Renato Buehlmann gave the accolade to this magnificent event. He particularly mentioned the flawless performance of the service team. He also appreciated the hard work and dedication of the kitchen team. The combination of the exceptionally high standards and skills from both teams made for a perfect experience for us all.
