OMGD China Dinner

Bailliage of China
Shanghai, September 19, 2020

Gastronomic Tour de France
" Our exclusive gustatory tour led us through five principal French wine regions "

The Bailliage organized an intimate OMGD (Ordre Mondial des Gourmets Dégustateurs) dinner with 32 members in Shanghai’s historic former French concession at Cuivre, a down-to-earth French Bistro with a contemporary twist.

Stars of the evening were the wines and spirits as always at an OMGD event. After selecting the wines, we discussed with Cuivre’s Executive Chef, Michael Wendling how to design an exclusive French menu to complement our selections.

At the reception we enjoyed salmon rillettes poached in red wine with dill and shallots and shrimp tartare and avocado bites washed down with glasses of perfectly chilled Champagne G Rennesson & Fils.

Our exclusive gustatory tour led us through five main French wine regions from Champagne, Alsace, Provence, Bordeaux, all the way to Cognac. Our “Tour de France” also included prestigious wines.

It was a wonderful OMGD occasion and as always we look forward to more great events coming soon.
