1st ever National Final

" Jiang Pei Liang was declared the winner "

The Bailliage’s first ever National Final of the Jeunes Chefs Rôtisseurs Competition was held at Le Cordon Bleu Shanghai.

Nine young chefs from all over the country took part in this competition. In the end, Jiang Pei Liang was declared the winner. He will represent China at the 2021 International Final being held in Paris, France, in September.

The annual event offers young chefs the opportunity to demonstrate their culinary skills in a competitive environment with their peers. It also allows the young chefs to showcase their talent and creativity in an international arena.

It was a great challenge for young Chinese chefs who had never been exposed to this kind of competition, not only in respect of the cooking skills, but also in the grasp of the overall menu taste and time control. Nevertheless, the young chefs rose to the challenge, constantly adjusted themselves, resisted pressure and presented a more than satisfactory result for everyone.

Congratulations to Jiang Pei Liang again. We are confident when in France our young Chinese chef will show the very best of his talent to the world.

Through the generosity of Camus Cognac, in addition to going to Paris to compete in the 2021 International Final, Jiang Pei Liang has been invited to spend two days in Cognac visiting the Camus Cognac headquarters and estates to experience the journey of cognac in the making.

We have only just begun our participation in the Jeunes Chefs Rôtisseurs Competition and there is much work to be done but with many hands together we will reach our goal.
