" Executive Chef Caleb wowed the diners with his flavoursome menu "

After a long hiatus the Bailliage was at last able to begin its 2021 calendar of events. What better way to celebrate than with a splendid informal luncheon hosted by Capital Club of East Africa!

The event was attended by 60 members and their guests who enjoyed a sparkling rosé aperitif in the beautifully decorated setting of the Club’s seventh floor.

There was chatter and laughter in the room, as members reunited for the first time after many months. It was delightful to meet members from the well-represented Bailliage of Mombasa including Bailli Délégué Shabnam Nayer.

Before proceeding to the dining area, a beautiful tribute was offered by Gurdeep Nayer, Bailli Honoraire of Mombasa, in memory of our recently departed and cherished Chaîne member - Marwan Misbah.

Executive Chef Caleb wowed the diners with his flavoursome menu. He served a rich, creamy oyster nage to start, followed by a pan-seared red snapper entrée. The dessert was a decadent dark chocolate mousse dessert. Each course was perfectly executed and beautifully presented.

To round off the delicious lunch we were treated to a spectacular cheese board which guests took time to sample throughout the remainder of the afternoon.

A vote of thanks was extended to the management of Capital Club East Africa, as well as to sponsors: Solovino Wines, Mia International and Sirimon Cheese. Last but not least, warm appreciation was expressed to all members and guests whose participation in the event made it a most special afternoon.
