On a cold evening in Dubai, a spectacular wine-tasting was hosted for Ordre Mondial des Gourmets Dégustateurs (OMGD) members at the Tap House Restaurant in the iconic Burj Khalifa in downtown Dubai with spectacular views of the famous dancing fountains.

Renowned for its great selection of beers and wines, Tap House provided the perfect ambiance and delicious food complementing Bodegas Torres’ exclusive wines.

This family-run winery located in the Penedès region of Spain has a history dating back to 1870. Renowned for its commitment to quality and innovation Torres wines are considered among the best in the world.

Cuvée Esplendor by Vardon Kennet 2015
The Torres family’s brand-new winery. An altitude sparkling vintage wine from the Penedès region. Pinot Noir/Chardonnay/Xarelo blend aged for 30 months resulting in a complex, elegant elixir with a fine and persistent mousse.

Vinyarets Blanco
Delicious white wine made from a selection of old vine parcels of Xarel·lo and historic enclaves of Penedès.

Pazo das Bruxas
White wine from the Rias Baixas region made from the Albariño grape aged on lees for six months resulting in purely gastronomic wine.

Altos Ibericos Criana
A new take on red Rioja, made from Tempranillo and aged for 12 months. Very elegant and well defined.

El Senat del Montsant
Red wine from the Montsant region. A Grenache blend partially aged for 10 months. Made in partnership with local traditional grape growers.

Floralis Moscatel Oro
Dessert wine made by Torres since 1946 from late harvest Moscatel de Alejandria grapes. Great intensity of aroma and flavour, balanced perfectly between acidity and sweetness, with a long, persistent aftertaste.

Our thanks were given to the Tap House Restaurant for their hospitality and the perfect setting for this event. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable creating a delightful experience.
