As well as the formal Chapitre event staged by the Bailliage of Karjala in Imatra [Ed. see separate article], Bailliages and members around the country celebrated World Chaîne Day (WCD).

The enthusiasm for WCD in Finland is undiminished from the very start when the celebration was first rolled out nationally before being upscaled to an international special day in the life of the Chaîne each year.

Ahlström Noormarkku
Built over the course of several generations, the Noormarku iron ore area, one of the largest and most spectacular iron areas in Finland, has been owned by Ahlström since 1870. Noormarkun Ruukki offers a comfortable environment for those looking for accommodation, as well as an excellent setting for meetings and parties. In the ironworks area that exudes history, there is an opportunity to do many things, from museum exhibitions to canoeing trips. Noormarkku Klub's restaurant especially spoils local and wild food lovers. In honour of this year’s WCD theme of "Come with your heart", the establishment invited the residents of Onnikoti Aurinkokulma as its guests.

Ravintola Juurella in Seinäjoki
Ravintola Juurella is an atmospheric restaurant located in the centre of Seinäjoki, which prepares seasonal food from high-quality ingredients from the surrounding area. It is a Pro member establishment in the Bailliage of Bothnie. Chef Rôtisseur Joni Pukkinen posted his greetings on the Social Media Wall.

K-Supermarket in Helsinki
In Finland, food suppliers have always been strong supporters of World Chaîne Day. K-Supermarket in Helsinki followed this tradition by warmly welcoming members and their customers in general to delicious tastings and product presentations.

Ravintola Tuhto in Tampere
In common with Chaîne member establishments across the country, Tuhto Restaurant in Tampere offered a special World Chaîne Day menu. Especially taking children into account with the selected courses. Tuhto is owned by NoHo Partners, one of Finland's leading restaurant groups.

Chef Wotkins in Helsinki
Another food supplier which enthusiastically supports World Chaîne Day. Celebrations at their factory outlet saw the counters in the store covered with great snacks, as always. The customers were very happy with this year’s innovation of packing their delicacies in fine reusable bags.

Ravintola PikkuVELI in Ylivieska
Restaurant PikkuVELI's WCD weekend included students in grades 4-6 at Niemelä School enjoying a three-course lunch, during which they received information about the hospitality industry. The food tasted good evidenced by the clean plates! These young people are not only the customers of the future that the restaurant business needs, but also some of them are potential employees. Esteemed colleague Juha Laukkanen of the Puppet Theatre Sytkyt did a lot for children's food culture. Thanks also went to the Mayor of Ylivieska who brought the city's food greetings and to the Mayor of Oulu from whom we received the greetings of the members of the Bailliage of Oulu.
