9th Dolce Pétanque Trophy - a great success
" The breathtaking Blue Buddha Beach in Duinbergen served as the magnificent backdrop for the day's exciting games "
The prestigious Dolce Pétanque Trophy, now in its 9th edition, was held once again with tremendous success, thanks to the empowering support of the National Bailliage.
The event, which has been proudly supported by the Chaîne for the past four years, has evolved from being exclusively for Chefs to welcoming Professionals and foodies, creating a vibrant celebration of culinary excellence and camaraderie.
The breathtaking Blue Budha Beach in Duinbergen served as the magnificent backdrop for the day's exciting games, with participants showcasing their pétanque prowess in a friendly yet competitive atmosphere. As the sun set, the festivities continued at the exquisite Lebeau19, where the evening dinner proved to be a culinary delight for all attendees.
One of the highlights of this year's event was the dedication to support the Belgian Jeunes Chefs Rôtisseurs competitor, Britt Van de Walle, and her participation in this year’s International Final.
The Dolce Pétanque Trophy has always been about fostering talent and encouraging young chefs to shine on the global stage. The event proudly welcomed Archibald Deprince, renowned Chef of the Best Plant-Based Restaurant in the World, Château Bourglingster in Luxembourg, and esteemed coach of the Belgian Bocuse team, as the godfather of pétanque. His presence and support added an extra layer of inspiration to the participants.
Bailliage members proudly wore their ribbons, representing their dedication to culinary excellence, and acted as Ambassadors throughout the day, engaging with non-members and encouraging them to join this prestigious organization. As a result of their efforts, the Bailliage saw an overwhelming response, with five new requests for Chaîne membership and numerous discussions about the Confrérie and its impactful initiatives.
The weather gods smiled upon the event, providing the participants with the only sunny day of the week, fostering an even more enjoyable and memorable experience for everyone involved. The clear skies and warm ambiance only added to the spirit of networking, camaraderie, and friendly competition.
The “Dolce Pétanque Trophy empowered by the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs in Belgium” is not just an event; it is a celebration of culinary passion, talent, and community. As the organizing team reflects on the success of this year's event, they eagerly anticipate even greater accomplishments and moments of culinary brilliance in the years to come.
