Lisbon awaits us!

Following the amicably agreed change from Canada, the Competition Committee is privileged to confirm that the 2024 International Final of the Jeunes Sommeliers Competition will now be hosted by the Bailliage of Portugal in Lisbon, the country’s capital city.

The draft programme is as follows:

Wednesday, October 16
Competitors arrive
Welcoming dinner
4 nights’ stay in Lisbon

Thursday, October 17
Educational day trip to wineries in the Lisbon region including lunch
Dinner

Friday, October 18
Competition Semi-final - theory, practical service, deductive tasting
Dinner

Saturday, October 19
Competition Final in the morning to place the 1-2-3
In the evening, Awards Presentation, Induction Ceremony and Gala Dinner in conjunction with a Chapitre of the Bailliage of Portugal

Sunday, October 20
Everyone departs for home

With the passionate enthusiasm for the event already evident from Bailli Délégué Paulo Amado and Chancelier Richard Roestorf another highly successful annual International Final is very much on the cards.
