The restaurant’s website home page proudly proclaims: “We welcome you to the historic Villa Ceconi in Salzburg-Nonntal, only a short distance from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Let us introduce you to the culinary delights of Salzburg with traditional and regional dishes presented by one of Austria’s leading chefs. It will be our pleasure to have your company.”
The modern restaurant is designed to complement the charm of the historic Villa Ceconi building dating from the 19th century. It has seating for 70 diners in rooms with varying ambience and in fine weather, clients move on to the terrace which has a wonderful view of the Hohensalzburg Fortress towering above.
Classic and authentic pure taste
Richard prides himself in the harmony he creates in his dishes. Classic base ingredients, fresh and locally sourced, set the tone with accompaniments adding, but never allowed to overpower. This is the traditional Austrian way executed to the highest standard. Richard’s awards stand testament to his success. He has exceptionally high standards and only uses first-class ingredients that have been bought as close to home as possible from Austria’s forests, lakes and mountain areas.
Sybille Brunnauer
Sybille is the heart and soul of Restaurant Brunnauer, complementing Richard’s culinary skills with her flair for design, good management and love and care for her staff and clientele. Sybille takes great pride in meeting and greeting clients old and new, ensuring that all feel welcome and relaxed in what in essence is an extension of their family home. From the moment clients are greeted her aim is to make them feel at home. Naturally, their enjoyment is Sybille’s and Richard’s top priority. One can expect impeccable service in a relaxed environment. The Brunnauers live for great dining and only when their clients are satisfied will they be.
The team
The core of the team at the restaurant has been together for many years. Teamwork is everything and is a major part of the restaurant’s success. All have a passion for what they do. It encourages the team members when this is enjoyed and appreciated by the clients.
