Managing Director of De L'Europe Amsterdam
" Grand Officier Maître Hôtelier Robert-Jan Woltering has more than 30 years of impressive experience in international Luxury Brands "
De L’Europe Amsterdam is a place for those who appreciate authenticity and luxurious hospitality.
Established in 1896, the landmark establishment is located on the river Amstel. Its 19th century building is as much an emblem of the city as the canals it crowns. Built on the site of the first inn in Amsterdam and filled with priceless Dutch art from the Heineken family - who have owned the hotel since 1950 - guests will feel immersed in the rich history of the property, and experience timeless service paired with the best in contemporary Dutch culture.
Following a multi-million euro redesign De L’Europe Amsterdam has evolved from the traditional Grand Dame of the city’s hospitality scene into a true cultural and creative hub; the ultimate destination for those seeking the authentic spirit of the city.
The hotel is a member of the prestigious “The Leading Hotels of the World” collection of luxurious hotels and resorts that exemplify exceptional service, unsurpassed elegance, and unforgettable experiences.
De L’Europe Amsterdam is home to an extensive range of culinary experiences. The Michelin 2-star fine-dining restaurant “Flore”, the beautiful French Brasserie “Marie” and the authentic Italian Trattoria “Graziella”. Additionally, the iconic Freddy’s Bar, named after Alfred ‘Freddy’ Heineken himself, offers a stylish spot for a nightcap.
In July 2022, Robert-Jan Woltering was appointed as the new Managing Director of the five-star luxury hotel.
