Much more than architecture!
" there are plenty of culinary delights in Cologne "
Chères Consœurs, Chers Confrères, Dear Guests
On behalf of the National Council of the Bailliage of Germany, I would like to warmly welcome you to the 101st Grand Chapitre in Cologne.
Under the motto “Kölle es e Jeföhl” (English: Cologne is a feeling), we would like to introduce you to the warm hospitality of the people of Cologne at our welcoming event on Thursday evening. Typical “Kölsch” beer will be served in one of the oldest breweries in the city, not far from Cologne Cathedral - our famous, twin-spired landmark.
But Cologne has much more to offer than just great architectural monuments: on Friday morning the Botanical Gardens at the Flora and right next door, our wine museum with its own rooftop vineyard, will welcome visitors.
Cologne was and is also a city of flavours and the Cologne fragrance “Kölnisch Wasser” is famous all over the world. Perhaps you would like to create your own scent at a fragrance seminar?
Last but not least, there are plenty of culinary delights in Cologne. In addition to long-established traditional restaurants, the young gastronomic scene has really developed in recent years. With or without a Michelin star - there are many delicious highlights to be discovered.
We look forward to seeing you.
