Featuring the National Jeunes Chefs Rôtisseurs Competition Final

Once the National Jeunes Chefs Rôtisseurs (JCR) competition was completed the Bailliage of Switzerland held a Chapitre in the Hotel Metropole, Interlaken at which the winner was announced.
The JCR competition was held as usual in the Bildungszentrum Interlaken (BZI) with three young chefs competing to represent Switzerland. The committee under the leadership of Conseiller Culinaire Franz Faeh and Chargé de Missions Hans-Peter Bütschi organized the competition.
The jury included Vice-Conseiller Culinaire Thierry Fischer who is President of the Disciples Escoffier Switzerland together with experienced Maîtres Rôtisseurs and amateur gourmets whose profound knowledge and experience carefully selected the winner after having observed preparation in the kitchen and tasted the three-course menu.
It was a pleasure to see the three young professionals performing! And to know that Switzerland will be represented again at the International JCR Competition on April 18, 2026 in Istanbul.
The announcement of the winner by Franz Faeh was witnessed by 45 members of the Bailliage of Switzerland. Franz encouraged the competitors to further sharpen their skills and continue to compete.
The three young Chefs received a long-standing ovation as they were ceremonially inducted into the Chaîne by Franz Faeh who was the Inducting Officer. Welcoming back the winners of the 2024 JCR competitions was a special pleasure too!
Celebrating and honouring the participants with a prestigious event was again a big success. Very well organized it will motivate more competitors and attract more members in the future. The Bailliage of Switzerland’s next National JCR competition will take place on March 28, 2026, in Interlaken.
Seeing the professional members celebrate their young colleagues was the Chaîne in its purest form!
