An evening of elegance, gastronomy, and global camaraderie unfolded on May 31st as the Bailliage of UAE gathered for the Gala Induction Evening at the majestic Jumeirah Mina A’Salam Hotel in Dubai.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Madinat Jumeirah’s waterways and opulent ballroom, the event was a celebration of tradition, fine taste, and the welcoming of new members into the Chaîne family.
Guests arrived dressed in black tie and national dress, adorned with their well-earned ribbons and medals, bringing a regal air to the night. The festivities began with an elegant reception. Lively conversations flowed over flutes of chilled Champagne, served with the utmost grace by white-gloved attendants, as the ballroom filled with members from around the world.
The culinary journey of the evening began with a celebration of the sea in the form of freshly shucked oysters artistically presented. Guests were treated to beautifully plated canapés: vibrant citrus tarts with roe, dainty amuse-bouches of foie gras and edible flowers, and delicate pastry bites topped with artistic finesse. Live food stations added theatre to the night as chefs torched, piped, and garnished creations before the eyes of delighted guests.
The five-course dinner continued the theme of culinary mastery. Each plate was a visual masterpiece, for example: vivid green asparagus garnished with blossoms; warm artisan breads with rich, textured crusts; intricately plated seafood and dessert courses. Glasses were never empty, with an impressive selection of Champagne, wines and creative cocktails circulating throughout the evening.
In between courses, the Induction Ceremony took centre stage. New members were inducted with ceremony and pride, while existing members were promoted and recognised for their contributions to the Chaîne’s vibrant culture. Applause filled the ballroom as ribbons were presented and photographs captured the significant moments.
The joy of reunion and new connections echoed through the crowd. Members and guests mingled with ease whether reconnecting with old friends or exchanging stories with newly inducted colleagues from different parts of the world. The energy was unmistakably warm and celebratory.
As the evening concluded, it was clear that this was more than a dinner. It was a reaffirmation of the values that define the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs: excellence in hospitality, lifelong friendships, and the celebration of culinary artistry at the highest level.
