Fifty-five years ago, the Bailliage of Salzburg was founded on the occasion of the second Grand Chapitre of Austria which took place in the city May 21-23, 1971.

It therefore gives me great personal pleasure to invite you, on this special occasion, to Salzburg from July 9-12, 2026, to celebrate this significant anniversary together within the framework of a festive Grand Chapitre - the 28th in the history of the National Bailliage of Austria.

The ceremonial highlight will be the Induction Ceremony in the Marble Hall of Mirabell Palace, one of the most splendid venues in our city. In this dignified setting, you will have the opportunity to receive your insignia for the first time or to be promoted to the next higher grade.

Come to Salzburg and enjoy a delightful weekend among friends. A Grand Chapitre always represents a pinnacle in the life of a Bailliage, and I am deeply convinced that this celebration - thanks to our Bailli Provincial Georg Imlauer and his dedicated team - will once again be an exceptional and unforgettable experience.
