Jauslin Winery takes the honours

" For this fourth edition, the featured grape variety was Riesling-Sylvaner, also known as Müller-Thurgau "

At the Chapitre in Lucerne, the fourth edition of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Swiss Wine Competition was held under the direction of Sigi Bachmann, Vice-Échanson of Lucerne.

This competition, born from a collaboration between the Vice-Échansons of Switzerland, took place as part of the Induction Ceremony and once again highlighted the richness and diversity of Swiss wines.

For this fourth edition, the featured grape variety was Riesling-Sylvaner, also known as Müller-Thurgau. The Vice-Échansons tasted wines from six different Swiss wine regions and evaluated them according to several criteria: colour, aroma, and taste.

The winner of the competition was announced at the Gala Dinner held that same day. Chaîne members had the pleasure and honour of hearing a few words about the region from Bailli Délégué Dr Thomas Kuhn, who hails from this area. Thomas is a Member of the Conseils d’Administration and Magistral.

This year, the Bâle-Campagne region distinguished itself with a wine submitted by the Jauslin Winery.

The fifth edition of the competition will be held next year during the Spring Chapitre of the Bailliage of Suisse Intérieure, headed by Bailli Stéphane Landolt, in Pfäffikon. The featured grape variety will be Cabernet Franc.
