Cantonese dining at the Courtyard Taipei
" Executive Chef Yang Te-Hsing created an exquisite dining experience for the members and their guests "
Courtyard by Marriott owns more than 1000 hotels over the world. With its 465 rooms the Courtyard Taipei lies between the 7th to 30th floors of the building where the Taiwan Metro, Taiwan High Speed Rail, and Taiwan Railway and Transportation all connect at Nangang Station.
The hotel’s speciality Moonlight Cantonese Restaurant was the location for this dinner. The restaurant is decorated in a modern but subtle style. It serves both classic and creative Cantonese cuisine with each dish prepared with authentic taste through the outstanding cooking techniques of the chefs.
As a result of his specially-conceived menu Executive Chef Yang Te-Hsing created an exquisite dining experience for the members and their guests. Chef Yang was assisted by Sous-Chefs Wu Yu-Hsuan and Chang Chin-An as well as Chef Chu Yu-Wei.
Service Supervisors Liang Che-Feng, Lee Hung-Ju and Lin Kuan-Yu ensured that the front-of-house brigade achieved the same high standard as that of their colleagues in the kitchen.
At the end of the evening Bailli Délégué Paul Wyss presented Bailliage of Taiwan Certificates of Appreciation to these leading members of the respective brigades.
On its website the Courtyard Taipei states that it prides itself on not only “providing professional and friendly service”, but also on making “the journey for each guest more relaxed, interesting and exciting”. These ideals were certainly the experience of Bailliage members and their guests on the occasion of this event.
