Update on the arrangements
The 2021 International Final is being held concurrent with the International Grand Chapitre & AGM taking place in Lyon in November.
Ten competitors will be participating.

Norway is able to enter two competitors given that the winner of their 2020 National Final was not able to compete as the International Final was cancelled due to the pandemic. Even for 2021 several countries are not able to take part in view of ongoing travel restrictions.

Wednesday 10 November
All day educational trip to the Rhône vineyards including a tour and tutored tasting at Maison E Guigal at Château d’Ampuis (Côte Rôtie) followed by lunch and tutored tasting of Paul Jaboulet Aîné wines in Le Vineum Restaurant in Tain l’Hermitage.
In the evening there will be a dinner with a tasting of Georges Dubœuf wines tutored by the company’s Export Director, Adrien Duboeuf-Lacombe.
Thursday 11 November
Semi-final of the Competition from 08h00 - 16h05.
In the evening, dinner will be preceded by a Masterclass Tasting of Louis Jadot ‘Château des Jacques’ wines tutored by Cyril Chirouze, Estate Director and Winemaker.
Friday 12 November
Final of the Competition to place the 1-2-3 takes place from 09h00-12h00.
The Presentation of Awards and Induction Ceremonies are being staged at the Auberge du Pont de Collonges (colloquially known as “Bocuse”) prior to the dinner part of the International Grand Chapitre programme.
Saturday 13 November
Competitors and Judges depart
After the enforced cancellation of the 2020 Final, the Committee is keen to avoid another year without the event taking place. Accordingly, it is to be hoped that come November the lifting of restrictions will be ongoing!
