25th AGM event held at Roberto's Restaurant

The Bailliage of Mombasa held its 25th Annual General Meeting (AGM) followed by a wine pairing dinner at Roberto's Restaurant on Tuesday, October 19th.

Although the Chaîne in Mombasa is 26 years in formation, the AGM did not take place last year due to COVID-19. It proceeded with flawless precision with a healthy quorum.

Individual bowls of Roberto’s amuse-bouches accompanied glasses of Xala Ribolla Gialla Spumante Brut.

Ambient lighting, elegant table centrepieces and tasteful background music set the right mood for the wine pairing dinner.

Each course was selected with great care and beautifully presented by proprietor Chef Roberto Miano. Renata Miano, a formidable force behind the scenes, had designed a unique menu as well as the decor for the evening. During each course she explained the properties of its well-chosen wine.

As the evening drew to an early close due to the continuing curfew Chevalier Steve Ogwapit gave a well-deserved vote of thanks to Roberto and Renata. A round of applause was given to the kitchen and service brigade for the flawless service.

There is no doubt Roberto’s will remain the favourite venue for future AGMs!
