Now it is official! The 21st local Bailliage in Germany is the Bailliage of Sylt. The inauguration was celebrated with a four-day event from October 14th - 18th by more than 70 members from all over Germany.

Bailli Délégué Klaus Tritschler, who is a Member of the Conseil d’Administration, presided over the Induction Ceremony.

The new Bailli is no stranger. Until taking on the establishment of a Bailliage on the island of Sylt, Dr Ronald Crone was Bailli Honoraire of Hamburg. Sylt has started with just six members at the moment but Ronald anticipates quick growth.

A great and varied programme presented the North Sea island from its most beautiful side - that of “pleasure”. We not only visited Dittmayer, the well-known oyster company, and the legendary Sansibar, but also the Vogelkoje, the Dorfkrug, and Sünhhair by Klaus were among other items on the “menu”.

We were warmly welcomed by the member houses of the still young Bailliage. Namely, Sünhair by Klaus in Keitum, Hotel Rungholt, Henry’s Restaurant & Bar and Il Ristorante all three of which are in Kampen, and Söl’ring Hof in Rantum. We thank them all very much for their hospitality.
