Gala event at Maradiva Resort & Spa Hotel
" an unforgettable gastronomic occasion "

Despite the current situation in Mauritius due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bailliage still decided to celebrate its last dinner of 2021 in style by organizing a Gala Induction event at Maradiva Resort & Spa hotel in Flic-en-Flac.

This all-villa resort, situated on the west coast of Mauritius, is renowned for its amazing sunsets and white sandy beach overlooking Le Morne Mountain, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The resort is home to an impressive range of flora and fauna, including some 150 endemic plants.

The evening began with canapés accompanied by perfectly chilled flutes of Pol Roger Brut Réserve Champagne. It was the moment for our members to mingle and to welcome new members and guests. The Induction Ceremony was presided over by Bailli Délégué Kareena Neisius. She inducted new members by tapping the flat side of a sword on both shoulders, in accordance with the Chaîne’s ancient tradition.

Following the Ceremony, guests and members were invited to the restaurant where an exquisite menu was presented by Executive Chef Frédéric Goisset.
