Pomp and finesse at Villa Rosa Kempinski
" Bailli Victor Gitobu with Vice-Échanson Ashe Ahluwalia gave the vote of thanks "

The prestigious Villa Rosa Kempinski Hotel was the venue for this Chapitre of the Bailliage of Nairobi.

Members and their guests turned out in all their finery gracing the first event of the year with pomp and finesse. Perfectly-chilled glasses of Camille Cayran Or Chardonnay Brut (from the town of Cairanne in the Southern Rhône Valley) and Minuty M Rosé (made by Château Minuty in Provence) were enjoyed with canapes during the sunset cocktail hour in The Balcony Bar.

Bailli Délégué Shabnam Nayer, in her capacity as a Member of the Conseil Magistral, presided over the Induction Ceremony at which nine members were warmly welcomed into the fold.

The delicious six-course dinner was prepared under the leadership of Executive Chef Manoj Aswal who pulled out all the stops with a world-class menu. His selection of ingredients and cooking styles intertwined indigenous Kenyan ingredients like moringa* and cassava with French-style dishes.

The service team did a phenomenal job with their impeccable, synchronized service. Furthermore, the 49 diners were treated to a delightful selection of French wines, a veritable “Tour de France”.
