The Bailliage celebrated its 35th anniversary/birthday and 2022 Induction Ceremony at the Dana Point Yacht Club. Bailli Délégué Bertrand de Boutray, who is a Member of the Conseil d’Administration, was accompanied by his lovely wife Brooke de Boutray, a Dame de la Chaîne.

Bertrand honoured us by officiating at our Induction Ceremony. There were new inductees and promotions as well as presentations of 10-year and 20-year Commandeur Awards. A Bailliage of USA Bronze Star award was presented to Officier Commandeur Walter Lachman for his 34 years of active membership and Bailliage support.

Another highlight of the evening was the induction of members into the Société Mondiale du Vin. [Ed. The USA equivalent of the Ordre Mondial des Gourmets Dégustateurs (OMGD) elsewhere in the world.]

Chef Jonathan Stanley heightened the celebrations with a sumptuous five-course dinner.

Our wonderful evening ended with a live auction which helped raise funds for our wine cellar. Especially important, we were also able to contribute $1000 to the Bailliage of USA’s Chaîne Foundation.
