Delicious parade of food at Ladybird Restaurant
" an evening to remember for the food, wines and camaraderie of the Chaîne "

Bailliage members and their guests gathered for their second event of the year at Ladybird Restaurant located in the Waterfront Palazzo Versace within the Marina Mirage Centre Southport, an airy harbour-side mall featuring high-end boutiques, cafes and restaurants.

A dégustation menu served to 38 participants was accompanied by wines which were introduced by Darren Davis of DTW wines.

The delicious parade of food started with an amuse-bouche of whipped French goat’s cheese with black honey, ash salt and flowers.

The following courses were presented:
- Oysters and salmon mousse
- Charred tuna tataki ponzu with wasabi aioli
- Sticky pork belly with spiced pumpkin puree and Paris mash or as an alternative there was slow-cooked beef brisket

All showcased the skills of the chefs with the variety provided.

Dessert of 28 degree torched chocolate ganache, cocoa foam and blueberry was followed by a final course of Triple Cream Brie cheese with garlic honey, Moscatel grapes and crackers.

Rounding off a wonderful dinner, a choice of petits fours was served by the very efficient wait staff.

Overall, an evening to remember for the food, wines and camaraderie of the Chaîne.
