Excellent service, charm and hospitality
" Dominik Schab's kitchen team conjures up unique and sophisticated dishes "

A magically inspiring place that invites you to linger. Even more so to return to your temporary home!

The moated castle dating from the 17th century is a member of "Feine Privat Hotels" and "QL Hotels & Restaurants" and is one of the architectural treasures of the Ruhr Valley. With its 36 individual rooms and suites and eight function rooms, the Schlosshotel Hugenpoet stands for excellent service, private charm and hospitality. A unique ambience awaits you within each of the 36 rooms. No two are alike, being furnished with attention to detail.

The Schlosshotel Hugenpoet offers you the right ambience and the right setting for an extraordinary stay and exclusive events whether festive or casual. Yet always festive and tailored to your wishes.

The Restaurant 1831 located in the conservatory on the left combines the atmosphere of the historic location with creative, innovative cuisine. The philosophy of Freiherr Friedrich Leopold von Fürstenberg, who acquired the castle in 1831 and created a magnificent heirloom from this special place, is fully relied on.

Dominik Schab's kitchen team conjures up unique and sophisticated dishes, combining regional products with international surprises. Classic dishes shine in new, elegant presentations. Unexpected interpretations paired with traditional dishes thus create a tension between tradition and modernity.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the HUGENpöttchen restaurant in the coach house has been back in its original place, where it opened in 2003, and welcomes its guests every day with coffee and cake specialties made at the castle.

The crowning glory of an enjoyable evening is a visit to the BARonie bar in the main building of the castle.

Due to the wonderful tranquility of the extensive castle park, you will find the time at Hugenpoet to rediscover and redesign individual free spaces with nature. The perfect setting for unforgettable moments, unique experiences that are relaxing, enjoyable and varied.
