The Chaîne comes to the Hippocampe
" White and red wines from the Château Martet were served during the meal "
The Bailliage organised an evening by the sea to mark the beginning of autumn, meeting at the Hippocampe, a restaurant in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, a French town in the Alpes-Maritimes department. The town adjoins the Principality, which is just 2km away.
The Hippocampe has been a family-run restaurant for 60 years, serving authentic cuisine showcasing seafood brought in by Roquebrune’s remaining fishermen.
Proud of its experienced young team, which is committed to providing exceptional yet reasonably priced wines, the Chaîne had asked Mrs Burçak Desombre, Vice-Échanson Honoraire, and Mr Philippe Poullain, Chargé de Missions, to organise a dinner to mark the end of the summer, to the great delight of 65 guests.

The Ordre Mondial des Gourmets Dégustateurs (OMGD) section of the Chaîne took part in this event, showcasing wines and spirits to celebrate this wonderful dinner.
White and red wines from the Château Martet were served during the meal. The Réserve de Famille du Château Martet is the last wine that President Macron and German Chancellor Merkel enjoyed together when the latter stood down.
The setting, the wines, the spirits and the family cuisine at the Hippocampe elevated the restaurant’s panoramic view to another level on this delightful evening. Enhancing the experience, Siméon the magician dazzled the guests with a selection of tricks that were as unbelievable as they were spectacular.
