Guadeloupe Chapitre

Bailliage of Guadeloupe
Le Gosier, November 19, 2022

Celebrating our gastronomic activities starting again
" this occasion marked the resumption of our usual get-togethers celebrating the art of gastronomy "

The Bailliage’s 52nd Chapitre took place on Saturday, November 19th at Le Gosier’s Résidence Départementale.

Once home to the Sous-Préfet, this elegant building up in the Bas du Fort district is an incredibly popular venue and many important political meetings are held there. But the Résidence Départementale also plays a cultural and artistic role, hosting exhibitions by contemporary artists, as well as many different events.

The municipality of Le Gosier is on the southern coast of Grande-Terre Island and is part of the urban district of Pointe-à-Pitre-Les Abymes, Guadeloupe’s most populous city. Le Gosier is Guadeloupe’s biggest seaside resort, and tourism is its main economic activity.

In the presence of the Grand Argentier Benoît Fragnière, with the support of the Bailli Délégué Henri Angélique and the Chancelier Francis Lefaux, the Induction Ceremony took place to welcome new members into the Chaîne and the Ordre Mondial des Gourmets Dégustateurs (OMGD).

The evening continued with our Gala Dinner.

After two long years of our activities being suspended, this occasion marked the resumption of our usual get-togethers celebrating the art of gastronomy.
