Vintage tea, vintage wine and food
" We expressed our great appreciation to Maître Rôtisseur Michael Müller and Dame de la Chaîne Helen Wu "
For the first of our Ordre Mondial des Gourmets Dégustateurs (OMGD) “Monday series 2023”, Maître Rôtisseur Michael Müller invited members and their guests to his Restaurant Kliemstein. The theme was vintage tea and vintage wine rarities. Dame de la Chaîne Helen Wu, who is a tea expert with the Madame Wu Tea Salon, introduced the teas.
Tea as a food companion is common practice in Hong Kong which encouraged us to deal more intensively with this topic. We learnt that the principal varieties of tea are white, green, oolong, black and pu-erh.
The exciting evening started with the Kliemstein take on tapas together with a 2011 Szigeti Brut sparkling wine from winery of Bailli of Burgenland, Peter Szigeti.
