The Bailliage gathered to celebrate World Chaîne Day (WCD) at the elegant, exclusive Wine Bar in the Wanda Vista Shenyang. Fifteen members and guests enjoyed the cosy, family-like atmosphere.
In keeping with the WCD theme of “Come with Your Heart”, everyone dressed in red or had heart shaped or red colour accessories. General Manager Syntio Camilleri and Executive Chef Frank Xia, together with the culinary and service teams most certainly put their hearts and souls into creating a fantastic dinner.
Executive Chef Frank who used to live and work in Italy was guided and supported by Syntio, a native Maltese. A delightful Italian menu paired with excellent Italian wines was created.
Upon arrival Kir Royal and canapés were served by the welcoming service brigade.
The menu commenced with an antipasti platter. Perfectly cooked porcini risotto, hint of lemon zest and delightful pan-seared seabass with Florentine sauce followed.
A Sorbet al Limoncello, nicely presented inside lemon shells, cleansed palates ready for the perfectly cooked, deliciously tasting saltimbocca on a bed of polenta.
For dessert: strawberry mille feuille and semi fredo beautifully presented with a mirror of raspberry sauce, fresh raspberries and small, tasty mango jelly cubes.
Following this delicious culinary experience Syntio invited everyone to an after party in one of the hotel’s exclusive VIP rooms where we celebrated until late.
Everyone concluded that it was a fantastic evening with delicious food, excellent wines, wonderful service and great hospitality. The event was declared a resounding success.
